I honestly managed to get in the best shape of my life and could not have been happier on my wedding day. I felt so confident and just amazing. Thank you so so much Jenny - I could not have achieved it alone and honestly the support and dedication from you was second to none. You always went the extra mile every time to make sure I was ticking all the boxes. You spent so much time with me making sure I understood and you explained why something was the way it was. I came to Jenny because I had tried (and failed) to reach my goal in the past. I had tried to train and diet on my own since January and as my wedding date of 2nd October was getting closer I knew I needed some extra help. The gym was close to my office and I wanted somewhere convenient but also of premium quality to really solidify my commitment. I was predominately going to crossfit classes and didn't really have a structured training plan. I had often struggled with food and my relationship with food tending to yoyo diet and not really know why or how to get results so that I could understand what was required to reach a goal and what I needed to prioritise to really see results.  

I initially felt nervous and if I am honest wasn't sure what Jenny would tell me that I didn't already know. Now having been through the process with Jenny it's clear. She was able to call me up on areas I couldn't see were impacting my progress. She did it in a way that was not judgemental, was backed up by knowledge and always from a supportive place. She made sure I didn't give up on myself and always tried to understand where I was at.

Every 2 weeks we would measure and review my progress. Jenny was also brilliant at helping me navigate social occasions. I was still able to enjoy hen dos (including my own) and the odd meal out - all of which was factored into my week with good strategies to ensure I didn't fall off track.

Best parts about my transformation have definitely been 1. Reaching a goal (for the first time in my life, hitting a weight loss goal), 2. Trusting the process and seeing that when you are truly in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight, 3. Feeling both mentally and physically strong and proving to myself that I can do hard things. The best feeling has been showing up for myself and seeing that prioritising my health has made me feel amazing.

I learnt to trust the process, to get my steps in, to sleep, that there are more efficient ways for me to train. I previously spent hours doing crossfit classes or spin classes. Since spending more time in the gym and on resistance machines I have seen that there is a much more efficient and effective way for me to train for body composition goals.

If I could explain my experience - It's been life making - I am very excited after having reached my goal weight to implement the knowledge I now have to reach my maintenance goals. I am looking forward to building more muscle and living a life that's supporting a strong and lean body and a healthy determined mind.

"As one of the Coaches of Raging Dragons, I would like to say that after (and still) working with Jenny (Nimbo) since March 2015, all our Rage members who has decided to take full advantage of these challenging sessions with Jenny have fully benefitted and have improved immensely with their fitness, stamina and strength. Doing these fitness sessions, as a team we have improved so much this season and the proof of this is that Rage has achieved a respectable 5th place in the British Dragon Boat National league, racing against some very strong teams.

I have been having PT lessons with Jenny for a number of years and still am amazed about how knowledgeable she is around health, wellbeing and fitness.  She is incredibly encouraging during our sessions and in between. She will often touch base to support daily nutrition and provide overall moral support.

 

I use my training as a way of balancing lifestyle rather than training  for anything specific and this means that Jenny has had to be flexible and dynamic in her planning. "Since I was a teenager I have suffered from knee cap dislocation and for many years I was not be able to run properly and had to wear a knee brace. Jenny has been great at helping me to strengthen my leg muscles (as that was my main goal), but also to regain the confidence I lost after so many years of being afraid to have another accident and hurt myself. I am really grateful to her for that.

 

Her work out methods are exceptional: she combines effective body strengthening exercises, with cardio and posture exercises, helping me not just to have a leaner body, but also to realign my whole body structure.  She is also really open and listens carefully to my needs, often taking time to talk to me after the end of the training session.

"I am a 45 year old male, and consider myself to be reasonably fit. I use the gym regularly and can row on a Concept 2 rower for 14,500m in an hour. My goal is to row 15,000m in an hour. I watched Jenny training other people and what impressed me most was the way she truly engaged with her clients and concentrated 100% on their technique and form. "When I moved back to London, I joined the gym and signed up for personal training.  I knew I needed a bit of focus and that I might not do what I needed to do on my own.  I am someone who is motivated by pleasing someone else and hearing "well done!" I haven't looked back since.  I really enjoyed the first sessions with Jenny and quickly knew that it would be something I would want to prioritise.  I had gone from doing next to no exercise to feeling the burn of a tough workout, experiencing achy muscles the next day and absolutely loving it.  A couple of months later, my boyfriend proposed and I then knew that in addition to wanting to be strong and healthy, I was also going to have the classic excuse to keep up the personal training - a wedding dress to wear!  I never wanted to be a skinny bride, I knew that wasn't me.  I wanted to look healthy and the best version of myself that I could achieve in 9 months.

Jenny was a huge support. She understood what I was trying to achieve. She was constantly encouraging and kept on pushing me. I worked hard but our sessions were so much fun that I always looked forward to them. I was motivated to work hard in between, so that I could beat the things that were difficult in the previous session.

I lost 12 kilos in 10 months and felt brilliant. When the wedding photos came I was delighted with how I looked. Training for me has been about far more than weight loss and the image in the mirror.  I am no longer envious of naturally slimmer friends, I don't care that they might be able to wear a smaller size in jeans if they are physically weak or don't have a healthy approach to managing their weight. I love feeling strong. I love knowing I can lift weights, that I can run and that my body is capable of far more than I would have expected. I've learnt a lot about myself through training. There have been sessions where my goals seemed so far away and something was so hard that I would want to cry and give up. Jenny never made me feel bad for that. She'd give me the space to get my head sorted and come back to the particular exercise that was so hard. I'd always pick the weight back up and finish the set with Jenny encouraging me all the way. I've learnt how quickly the body can strengthen itself so that when I try something for the first time I now know that I'll beat it in the end.  The fact that Jenny has been through the challenge of changing her body herself makes her a very understanding trainer. She knows what it takes and she sets a great, healthy example of working hard but enjoying life at the same time. I didn't feel like I was missing out on the things I liked, I was just a bit more clever about how I ate and drank.

What's lovely about Jenny is that she shares my excitement and makes me feel like she's 100% there to help.  She takes a real interest and clearly gets satisfaction out of seeing her clients succeed.

There's no way I could have achieved my goals without Jenny and I can't imagine wanting to take on the next phase without her!  Bring it on!"

"When I joined the gym in February it was about 10 years I had not been to a gym and although already slim my goal was to become more toned, fit and eventually build up muscles. Working with Jenny Nim has been a great experience. She gave me the right confidence and motivation to overcome physical and mental barriers that were holding me back.
