I’ve been training with Jenny Nim on and off since 2018, through everything from maternity leave to medical issues, and I can honestly say she’s been one of the most constant and positive forces in my health journey. Before I met Jenny, I never enjoyed working out - especially not lifting weights. Now, thanks to her, I genuinely look forward to strength training. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and always finds a way to meet me where I’m at, customizing sessions to fit my body, energy levels, injuries, and even my cycle. I used to be an avid half marathon runner, but once the pandemic cancelled all the races, I traded my love of running for a love of takeaways. Four years later I had put on about 5 kg and realized I was no longer looking and feeling my best in my clothes. I had always heard about the health benefits of weight training, but I was absolutely terrified of doing anything in the gym besides running on the treadmill. Jenny understood that I was a complete beginner and taught me everything I needed to know to be able to train on my own, from the absolute basics like how to unrack a barbell to detailed explanations on how to do each exercise and what muscles I should be working. Whenever I looked at her like a deer in headlights after she taught me an exercise, she continued to try different explanations and drills to make sure I understood what she was saying and could do the movement correctly. Her strict emphasis on technique really made sure I was getting the most from the exercises and not injuring myself. In four months I went from being intimidated by the gym bros to silently judging them on their bad form! When I went away on a long holiday, Jenny wrote me a detailed training plan and I felt confident walking into a new gym in a different country, something I never imagined I could do. She also taught me the importance of nutrition when body recomping. I've been pescatarian for seven years because I have hereditary high cholesterol, and was a little worried she would insist the only way to eat enough protein is with chicken breast, but she was happy to work with my diet. I started eating more fish, eggs, tofu, and vegetables and my cholesterol is now the lowest it's ever been, my GP couldn't believe it! I still enjoy eating out every week, and Jenny has taught me to make smarter decisions when ordering. Of course there are days when my cravings are high, but instead of yelling at me for ruining my diet, Jenny encourages me to get back on track and praises my progress. She keeps me accountable, but she's also taught me I need to be accountable to myself: binging on sweets and crisps but not tracking it isn't fooling anyone! After training with her for five months, the clothes I couldn't fit into last summer are now too big! Despite only running twice a week whilst training with Jenny, I managed to get a PR during a 5K race last month. The strength training really did improve my running! But most of all, it improved my confidence, I've never felt or looked better! I look forward to continuing getting leaner and stronger with Jenny's guidance.

I honestly managed to get in the best shape of my life and could not have been happier on my wedding day. I felt so confident and just amazing. Thank you so so much Jenny - I could not have achieved it alone and honestly the support and dedication from you was second to none. You always went the extra mile every time to make sure I was ticking all the boxes. You spent so much time with me making sure I understood and you explained why something was the way it was. You made what could have felt incredibly lonely and overwhelming at times feel easy and like I wasn't on my own. Every wobble and every success - you were there. Even now post wedding and through the ups and downs I feel supported and like I have the best person on my team. I came to Jenny because I had tried (and failed) to reach my goal in the past. I had tried to train and diet on my own since January and as my wedding date of 2nd October was getting closer I knew I needed some extra help. The gym was close to my office and I wanted somewhere convenient but also of premium quality to really solidify my commitment. I was predominately going to crossfit classes and didn't really have a structured training plan. I had often struggled with food and my relationship with food tending to yoyo diet and not really know why or how to get results so that I could understand what was required to reach a goal and what I needed to prioritise to really see results. I initially felt nervous and if I am honest wasn't sure what Jenny would tell me that I didn't already know. Now having been through the process with Jenny it's clear. She was able to call me up on areas I couldn't see were impacting my progress. She did it in a way that was not judgemental, was backed up by knowledge and always from a supportive place. She made sure I didn't give up on myself and always tried to understand where I was at. Every 2 weeks we would measure and review my progress. Jenny was also brilliant at helping me navigate social occasions. I was still able to enjoy hen dos (including my own) and the odd meal out - all of which was factored into my week with good strategies to ensure I didn't fall off track. Best parts about my transformation have definitely been 1. Reaching a goal (for the first time in my life, hitting a weight loss goal), 2. Trusting the process and seeing that when you are truly in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight, 3. Feeling both mentally and physically strong and proving to myself that I can do hard things. The best feeling has been showing up for myself and seeing that prioritising my health has made me feel amazing. I learnt to trust the process, to get my steps in, to sleep, that there are more efficient ways for me to train. I previously spent hours doing crossfit classes or spin classes. Since spending more time in the gym and on resistance machines I have seen that there is a much more efficient and effective way for me to train for body composition goals. If I could explain my experience - It's been life making - I am very excited after having reached my goal weight to implement the knowledge I now have to reach my maintenance goals. I am looking forward to building more muscle and living a life that's supporting a strong and lean body and a healthy determined mind.

I couldn't remember the last time I felt so strong. After the pandemic, over indulging and lots of random home workouts, I reached out to Jenny who I knew from cross fit days and mobility classes. She trained me for 12 weeks and I achieved a few personal bests which had me shocked and happy all at the same time. I now feel like myself again and I have the confidence I remember I used to have. She has taught me that things do happen on a calorie deficit (I've never followed a diet/counting calories before) and showed me what I can achieve by sticking to a plan. I have surprised myself and saw how disciplined I can be and it allowed me to really understand my body and how different foods affected it. Jenny worked with me to plan ahead (including two holidays and a few birthday parties)and keep track of everything from the number of daily steps to how I feel on the day. This quickly became a habit of mine and so did the training. I began training with Jenny twice a week for a month which really helped me see a difference in my form/technique and also I remembered so much more so I could progress further. I also gained confidence in the gym when I was alone and Jenny adapted my training plan based on what equipment I could access. I quickly saw myself becoming stronger even on less calories and I saw the benefit of resistance training over spin/crossfit/HITT classes. We then dropped to one PT a week and I slowly increased the number of gym sessions which I thought was tough but with the right nutrition and sleep your body adapts and heals more efficiently. I'm excited to continue weight training and building lean muscles (they look good in the mirror!) and understanding more about weight control and nutrition. Jenny's tips and advice have been invaluable and I have learned so much. She is knowledgeable and has years of experience. I would say the best part of my transformation are: Reaching a weight loss goal Truly seeing what a calorie deficit can do (you can't rush the process) Seeing how strong I can be (I can push myself obv with good form)

Jenny genuinely cares about what she does, the people she trains and the principles behind it all. She is able to show you the minutest small detail which will literally transform how the most ‘basic’ movement is executed – like the squat. With these small adaptations I could squat deeper and heavier than I’ve done for years. Getting on the rower was like a torture ritual, but again, she simplified and demonstrated the movement and virtually changed the mechanics – I know how to row now! She’s learnt it all the hard way-through sweat, dedication and perseverance and it shows through her knowledge and experience. She is incredibly strong and tough but at the same time approachable and encouraging. Her experiences echo those of so many (women/girls), you feel like she is the inner voice inside you.

Since starting work with Jenny I have seen significant improvements in my approach to nutritional goals. Being accountable to someone helps immeasurably with making sure that macro and calorie requirements for the day are met, and Jenny has made me realise that a consistent yet simple approach to creating a small energy deficit can have excellent results. At no stage have I felt that I am on a diet and am able to enjoy social situations (which may have been problematic in the past) with ease. "Jenny is such a gem!"

Jenny is such a gem! I’m new to the gym world and had no idea how to use any of the machines, but she made everything feel simple and possible. She doesn’t just train you, she teaches you how to train on your own. Thanks to her, I now feel confident using the equipment, even on days when I’m not with her. One of the most valuable things I learned was how to breathe properly during the exercises, something I had never paid attention to before. It was challenging at first, but I’ve been practicing and can already feel the difference. Proper breathing, combined with the correct execution of each movement, really improves the results. I’ve only done two sessions with her so far, and I’m already going for my third this week. I’m loving it, especially now that I’m on holiday and have more time to put everything into practice. I’ll definitely keep coming back to Jenny whenever I need help or want to adjust my training plan. She’s knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and really cares about helping you become stronger, gain mobility, and live a healthier life. Highly recommend!

"Very proud and impressed by Jenny"

Very proud and impressed by Jenny. Any conversation you have with her will show you that she really knows her stuff. None of those fads and vague rambles that other supposed experts resort to. None of the counter-productive training injuries or one dimensional regimens that fail to lead to all round fitness either.

She's one of my inspirations for getting stronger without worrying that it would negatively affect my body shape. If you think it through, it's very unlikely that getting stronger and fitter will make you look bad. You may look different to what you previously aspired to (I had the stick thin weak arms in 2010 too) but being stronger and fitter is more worth it.
